We stayed in the Villa Azzurra, which is the perfect size for a couple or family/friends of 2-4. The accomodation itself is a lovingly restored traditional Italian village home with breath-taking views across Umbria. It's pretty scenic but still well connected, the nearest town - Trevi, is only a 5 min drive down the mountain, and Assisi, Spello and other lovely Umbrian towns are easily reached by car. That said, in hot weather you could happily just sit outside on the terrace and soak up the incredible views.

Patrizia really helped make us feel at home - we will be back! The apartment is split over 2 levels and is one of 3-4 on the plot. It has a tv, dvd, internet, all standard kitchen facilities - we did lots of cooking and eating in which was just lovely. The bathroom and main bedroom are also very pretty - exposed stonework and lovely features.

Sadly for us, it rained all week when we were there - completely out of character for the area and season - so the house did get a little damp, but this wasn't really a problem and watching the stroms move across the value from out hilltop outpost more than made up for it - incredible!
